The Actor and Santhanam will be Teaming up for a film Directed by Newcomer Vijay
He already has three films in hand, but looks like Simbu has signed on one more project to be produced by S S Chakravarthy. While S S Chakravarthy’s PR person maintained that talks on still going on regarding the project and it will take two more days to finalize the details, music director Thaman, who will be teaming up with STR once again after Osthe for this project, confirmed the news.

Says Thaman, “The film is titled Vaalu and will be a comedy-action entertainer and will see STR pairing up with Santhanam once again. The film will be directed by newcomer Vijay, who has assisted director Amma Rajasekar. It will be a very different film as far as Simbu is concerned.”
Thaman informs that the he has already begun composing for the film, which is slated to go on floors by April end or the first week of May. “They are planning to shoot it at a stretch and release the film by Diwali,” he adds. While we hear that the unit is planning to approach Nayanthara to play the female lead, sources say that she is unlikely to do the film as she already has her hands full with numerous current projects (three in Telugu and one in Tamil).
