Kollywood divas Trisha and Hansika have bagged plum films that had been initially offered to Nayanthara. As reported first by DC, Trisha had signed on the dotted line for Bhoologam opposite Jayam Ravi on Friday, which was also her birthday. Now, Hansika, who is the current toast of Kollywood, has agreed to do Vaalu opposite Silambarasan. 

 In an earlier interview to DC, Vijay Chandar, the director of Vaalu had said that he was looking for a livewire heroine who could rock the comic script. Vijay confirmed that he had first approached Nayanthara for the film, but it did not work out for various reasons. Looks like Hansika’s take on humour in OKOK has worked in her favour. Hansika, who is in the city for the photo-shoot of Vaalu said, “It’s a cracker of a subject. I have attempted a comic role in Velayudham with Vijay sir. It was appreciated by all. And in OKOK opposite the seasoned comic master, Rajesh, I treated it as a challenge and worked hard.” This is the second time the vivacious beauty who has shed few kilos is teaming up with Simbu after their outing in Vettai Mannan.
