It’s the first Indian film to shoot in the famous amusement park
The Podaa Podi unit recently shot inside Disneyland, Hong Kong, for a song. Simbu, who plays the male lead in the flick, says, “I’ve been to Disneyland a couple of times before but never have thought that I’d shoot here one day with all the characters I grew up watching!” The song is said to be one of the highlights of the film – it revolves around a father (played by Simbu) wanting his son (played by Samarth, his nephew) to have the best things available in the world and so decides to take him to Disneyland. Director Vignesh Shivaa says, “It took us almost 90 days just to get permission. It’s the first Indian film to be shot there. Every detail of the song, including costumes, choreography, meaning of lyrics, full script, had to be given on paper and they went through all that before giving us the go-ahead.” Simbu says that shooting with his favourites, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse, was a wonderful experience indeed!
